After getting bashed by several Ghanaians over the ridiculous amount she was going to receive for being a first lady, the wife of President Nana Addo, Rebecca Akufo-Addo has decided to reject the money.
In a Press Release, Mrs Akufo-Addo stated emphatically that she didn’t want Ghanaians to see her as a heartless woman who didn’t care about the welfare of the ordinary citizen.
She also promised to refund all the allowances she has received from 2017 which totalled to 899,097.84. This action is to prove to Ghanaians that she is a mother for all and will never do anything that will bring discomfort to the majority of Ghanaians.
