The family of the late Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) presidential candidate, Akua Donkor, has officially released details of her final funeral rites.
This announcement follows widespread concerns from Ghanaians regarding the prolonged stay of her body at the mortuary. Speculations had surfaced that financial constraints were delaying her burial. However, the family has now confirmed the arrangements for her final farewell.

According to the official funeral flyer, Akua Donkor’s final rites will take place on March 29, 2025. The late politician and farmer will be laid in state between 4:00 AM and 9:00 AM before the burial proceedings begin.
The funeral will be held in her hometown, Ejuratia in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Her passing marked the end of an era for Ghanaian politics, and many supporters are expected to pay their last respects at the ceremony.
