The infamous ‘obnoxious’ electronic levy kicked start yesterday May 1 on a day that was supposed to appreciate workers for their hard work.
Public outcry went rife yesterday as netizens shared screenshots of charges on their momo transactions.
Celebrities were not exempted from the levy, neither were they silent on the aftermath of the implementation.
Actress Fella Makafui was one of the few who came out to speak up on the new levy.
In a tweet, she lamented how she was heavily charged for one transaction she made yesterday.
Fella Makafui who is a businesswoman outside acting and showbiz revealed that she paid Gh¢ 150.00 for a GH¢ 10,000 transaction.

In another tweet, the actress said the levy will not help small business owners.
She added that the levy will steal all the profits of their business and leave the with nothing at the end of the day.
