The term “Papa no” stemmed out of Tracy Boakye and Mzbel’s feud a few weeks ago as they fought over one man who was sponsoring them. It made waves over the past weeks.
People have speculated that the NDC flag bearer John Mahama is the “Papa no” the two ladies are fighting over.
Political parties such as the NPP has taken this term for their political campaign. There has been fights over this term in parliament as well.
Ghanaian musician Sydney has released a song concerning this term. He revealed in an interview that he drew inspiration for this song from Tracy and Mzbel feud.
This song has gotten the artiste in trouble as the NDC has sent a court injunction to him. Again, he stated he has received threats on his life because of the song.
In his final submission, he indicated that court injunction or not, he will release the song.
