Accra High Court rules in favor of Odartey Lamptey; wins his East Legon mansion back from his ex-wife

Ex Black Stars player Odartey Lamptey has won the suit against his ex-wife as the Accra High Court granted him custody of his East Legon mansion.

The court finally reversed an earlier decision that gave Mr. Lamptey’s mansion at East Legon to his ex-wife as they fought over the property in their divorce settlement which has spanned over 3 years.

According to multiple sources, the judgment takes effect from tomorrow, April 5, 2022.

In July 2021, the former Ghana international vowed to evict his ex-wife Gloria Appiah from his mansion at East Legon after her appeal to own Odartey Lamptey’s plush East Legon was dismissed.

Gloria Appiah had sought to claim ownership of the seven-bedroom apartment as part of her alimony after their divorce but in the latest development, an Accra High Court has finally granted the ex-Black Stars player custody of his plush seven-bedroom East Legon mansion.

Lamptey who has been renting since 2014 after his wife sued to claim the house following their divorce will in no time move to his mansion and live happily with his new wife,  Ruweida Yakubu who he has two children with.

Lamptey owns the Golden Lions Soccer Academy and Glow Lamp International School.
