Kuami Eugene who won the Artiste of the year award in the just ended VGMA has shared his grievances and disappointment in a an interview with TV3.
He indicated that Sarkodie and Diana Hamilton have failed to congratulate him on his award.
In a stiff competition, the ‘Obiato’ hit maker beat the likes of Kofi Kinaata, Sarkodie, Diana Hamilton and Medikal.

Kuami poured his heart out saying three days after winning the award, only Kofi Kinaata and medikal have called him to congratulate him.
He also made mention of other artiste who have also congratulated him.
According to Eugene, he has chosen to ignore all negative comments being made against him because to him he has really worked hard for this success.

He further noted that the release of his two songs Ohemaa and Obiato which became hits all over the county and across Africa is an indication of being worthy of the award.
He stated:
“I released just two songs but they were all over Africa. I organised the Rockstar Concert, Salafest in Fadama, and many more. So as a matter of fact I deserved it.’’
Ending his submission, Kuami Eugene stated emphatically that he is focused on doing music and not to please anyone.
