A young graduate is currently over the moon after bagging two degrees from 2 of the most prestigious universities in the world.
The lady simply known as Vee K revealed that she is a proud graduate of both Oxford University and Harvard University.
Taking to her LinkedIn, Vee recalled the time she wanted to apply to Oxford while in high school but her teacher told her that she wasn’t good enough.
She used her life story to inspire others in similar situations, while also urging guardians, teachers to stop confining children to a box.
According to the brilliant woman, she is also set to begin her PhD programme in 2023.
In her words; ‘‘I’VE GRADUATED FROM HARVARD – 5 years ago my teacher told me I shouldn’t even bother applying to Oxford for my undergrad because I wasn’t ‘good enough’
& fast forward ….. Last year I graduated my undergraduate degree from Oxford University, & as of 4 days ago I’ve graduated my postgraduate degree in International Education Policy (officially) from Harvard University.
& I’ve been accepted for my PhD studies starting fall 2023.
– this is just a little friendly reminder to teachers, guardians and people in general who play a role in children’s lives, just because it HASN’T been done, doesn’t mean it CAN’T be done. & let’s make sure our students know that.
Let’s stop putting our students in boxes and marking what they can do based on our own fears or the unknown.
