In an interview with Sammyflex, the Menpe hitmaker, Amerado Burner, shared his story with Tim Westwood which opened the issue up for a broader conversation.
According to the artist, during his visit to the UK, he made an effort to make an appearance on Tim Westwood since he had mastered his rap skills all these years in Ghana with songs like Menpe to show for it. Yet, his plans were in futility when his connection to the platform told him that he couldn’t make his dream manifest mostly because he and his songs are not that known yet in those circles.
Though upsetting, Amerado believes that it was just not the right time for him, and instead of getting broken by this experience, he’s rather motivated to do more, hone his craft and make sure his works in Ghana earn him an invitation to Tim West wood.
Over the period, Ghanaian artists like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Meikal, Quamina MP, Manifest, to mention a few, have made an appearance on this platform, certifying and making Ghanaians proud. Amerado was encouraged by the panel of the show to keep up with his good works and will surely be called there one day to make Ghana proud.
Amerado is currently promoting his Twa So banger which features Fameye and streams on all digital music platforms.
